Bengal Gram is the whole urad bean, grown in India. It originated from India, has been cultivated from old times and is one of the highly priced pulses in India. The bean can be eaten whole, boiled or split into dal. It is largely used in making dal. It is also a key ingredient in the Idli- Dosa batter and also in the dough of Vada. It is also used to make Urad ke Laddu. It is the constituent of the very famous Punjabi cuisine Dal Makhni. Urad dal is highly nutritious. It is suggested to the diabetic patient to consume the same. DIRECTIONS OF USE

•    Bengal Gram can be soaked overnight and grinded to form batter for idli and dosa.
